About Paul

Paul finds himself in the therapy world after a career as a lawyer, predominantly in the UK. Spending over 7 years in the residential treatment setting and finding that the same passions that drove him to a career in law transferred well to being a therapist, Paul sought a Master of Social Work from Brigham Young University.

Recognizing the unique strengths and resilience that each individual possesses, Paul seeks to provide a safe space for clients to explore, find healing and growth. Paul uses a client centered approach at the heart of which are a hard earned set of core values that guide each aspect of the therapeutic relationship.

Having obtained training in general trauma treatment, motivational interviewing, trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Paul has worked with clients across the trauma spectrum, the LGBTQ+ community, as well as with those dealing with anxiety, depression, faith and identity transitions. Paul has also spent time working with first responders dealing with a number of personal and professional issues, including PTSD.

Paul is very proud to originally hail from Dublin in the Republic of Ireland. He has worked as a lawyer in the North West of England before returning to law school in the United States. Married for over 20 years, he is the father to some wonderfully challenging children, loves Indian food, rugby and soccer (football) and is always on the hunt for an opportunity to travel to a new country.
