Jayna Nielsen

Jayna Nielsen is a student therapist pursuing a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Brigham Young University–Hawaii.

 

Jayna works with children, parents, individuals, couples, and families to strengthen relationships, navigate life’s challenges, and create meaningful change. Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in a systemic perspective, recognizing that experiences are shaped by relationships, family dynamics, culture, and life circumstances.

 

She has a particular interest in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and enjoys helping clients identify patterns that may leave them feeling disconnected or stuck. Jayna strives to create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe exploring emotions, building self-awareness, and strengthening connections with themselves and others.

 

Outside of the therapy room, Jayna enjoys spending time outdoors, hunting, and connecting with family and friends. She can almost always be found with a Diet Coke in hand—a small detail that reflects her belief that comfort and connection often begin with the simple things.
