Teen & Adolescent Therapy
Support for teens navigating anxiety, depression,
identity, self esteem,
and the challenges of growing up
The teen years bring a lot of change, and it's not always easy to navigate alone. Therapy gives teens and adolescents a dedicated space to work through anxiety, self esteem, identity, and the pressures of school and relationships, with a therapist who understands what this stage of life is really like.
Ways We Support Teens
Our therapists work with teens and adolescents using approaches tailored to how young people process and express what they're going through. We support teens in:
-
Managing anxiety, stress, and overwhelming emotions
-
Building confidence and a stronger sense of self
-
Navigating friendships, family dynamics, and school pressure
-
Working through identity, belonging, and life transitions
-
Developing healthy coping skills for difficult moments
-
Processing bigger challenges like grief, trauma, or major change
Every teen's experience is different, and sessions are shaped around what matters to them.

What to Expect:
Your teen's first session focuses on building trust and understanding what's going on in their world, in a space that feels safe rather than feeling like they are being evaluated. Your therapist will ask about school, friendships, family life, and what's been on their mind, letting your teen guide how much they share and at what pace. Your therapist will also check in with parents or guardians as appropriate, while respecting your teen's need for their own space to open up.
Sessions typically run about 50 minutes, usually weekly or every other week, either in person or by telehealth. As therapy continues, your therapist will check in regularly on progress, adjusting the approach as your teen grows more comfortable or as new things come up.
